Janelle Basham is the Executive Director of BraveLove, a nonprofit organization transforming the narrative of adoption by honoring birth mothers and fostering understanding through education, support, and storytelling. As a birth mom herself, Janelle brings passion and lived insight to her mission of empowering others and building bridges within the adoption community. With a background in private adoption and foster care, she is committed to honoring the journeys of those involved in adoption.
Janelle and her husband, Jason, live in Virginia, enjoying the quiet joys of an empty nest. They have two adult children (Carson & Emma) and an open adoption with Janelle’s daughter, Katherine.
